On-site survey

Site consumption survey

A booked day on site. We inventory every board we are shown, collect readings the meters will give, and return a charted record of kilowatt-hours you can put next to the supplier bill.

High-voltage lines and pylons against a pale sky, the kind of supply that ends at a building meter

Who this visit is for

Facilities managers, hotel engineers, and landlords who receive a supply bill they cannot explain. Typical buildings: a boulevard hotel with laundry and kitchen loads, a multi-storey office with a shared basement plant, or a warehouse with night lighting and a small office annex. If you already know every meter and only want a typed table each month, the monthly reading record is the lighter fit.

What you take away

A bound or PDF record that names each meter we were shown, the readings taken, and charts of consumption where the meter (or a logger we bring) can support intervals. The aim is a picture a non-engineer can hold: which wing, which shift, which plant room is carrying the month. We sit down once at the end of the visit — usually in the engineer’s office, not the lobby — and walk through the pages.

Scope

Included

  • A planned arrival window and a named surveyor from our Batumi office
  • Inventory of electricity boards and heat meters you grant access to
  • Photographs of meter faces and nameplates for the file
  • Interval or repeat readings during the day where the hardware allows it
  • A written record with charts of kilowatt-hours by the zones we could separate
  • One follow-up call within ten days to clarify a page, not to resell work

Left out

  • Electrical repairs, panel upgrades, or any live work beyond reading
  • Supplier contract negotiation
  • Guaranteed savings figures — we record use; we do not promise a smaller bill
  • Meters behind doors nobody can open on the day

Who comes

Nino Kharatishvili or Giorgi Tavadze, depending on the week. Both work from Level 9, 74 Parnavaz Mepe Street. A second person attends only when a hotel asks for two plant rooms to be covered in the same morning.

How the day runs

  1. Keys and introductions. We meet whoever holds the basement and roof keys. If that person is a contractor who arrives at ten, we wait; we do not invent readings from the corridor.
  2. Board by board. Each cabinet is photographed, labelled on our sheet, and read. Where a meter has a pulse output or a readable interval register, we collect more than a single snapshot.
  3. Plant that uses the power. Laundry, kitchens, air handling, and car-park lighting get a walk so the charts later have names, not only serial numbers.
  4. Close-out. A short sitting with your notes and ours. You leave with the draft structure; the finished record follows within five working days.

Time and place

Most Batumi hotels and offices fit into one working day, 08:30 to 17:00, with a break you choose. A large property with several substations may need a second morning, quoted before we start. We travel within Adjara; sites beyond a two-hour drive from Batumi are accepted only after we say so in writing.

What to prepare

  • A list of meters you already know, even if it is incomplete
  • Access to basement, roof plant, and any tenant cupboards you want included
  • A copy of the last two supply bills (paper or photograph)
  • A quiet table for the close-out, not a reception desk in a queue of guests

Constraints

We do not force locks. Live panels stay closed except for the viewing window or the cover your electrician is willing to open. If a tenant refuses entry, that meter is marked “not shown” rather than estimated. Summer hotel work is scheduled around laundry peaks so we can see the load, not around marketing calendars.

Fee

Quoted after you tell us the building type and a rough meter count. Surveys of this kind start at 850 GEL for a compact office or guesthouse. A boulevard hotel with laundry, kitchen, and more than eight meters is higher. A 30 percent booking note holds the date; the remainder is due when the record is delivered. See rates and refunds.

Next step

Write to the office with the building type, the week you can host us, and who holds the keys. We answer within two working days.
